The Wasden Site

Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho

The Wasden site includes a cluster of three open lava tube cavities knows as Owl, Coyote and Dry Cat Caves. Archaeological investigations conducted between 1965 and 1977 generated a cultural and paleontological record extending from the late Pleistocene to the late Holocene. The site has been nominated as a National Historic Landmark.
