The church of St. Stanislaus Kostka, dedicated in 1901, is listed in the National Register of Historical Places. The altar painting, a gift from Gonzaga College in 1900, was painted by Jesuit Brother Joseph Carignano. The painting depicts an apparition in the life of Stanislaus Kostka.

Brother Joseph came to the Northwest Region in 1878 as a cook and handyman. He trained under a master painter in Turin, Italy but never painted in Italy. He left over 200 admired works of art in the Northwest. His most well known and largest works are at St. Ignatius Mission, St. Ignatius, Montana, and St. Frances Xavier Church, Missoula, Montana.
