Location: 5006 W. Farm Court, Garden City, Idaho 83714

The farmstead is adjacent to the Hidden Springs Community Barn.

The farmstead, built beginning in the late 1860s, lies on approximately two acres in the Dry Creek Valley near Boise. It includes seven historic farm buildings: the farmhouse, the kitchen/spring house, root cellar, woodshed, saddle shed, granary, and a horse barn. A large draft horse and wagon barn lies near, but outside the historic site. The homestead was patented in 1873 by Phillip L. Schick and consisted of 160 acres along the road to the Boise Basin mines. His family held the property until 1920, when Basque immigrant farmers began managing the property for a series of owners. Member of the Basque Ostolasa family lived in the farmhouse from 1927 until 2005.

Today, two acres of the property have been preserved as an historic site, which is owned by Ada County and managed by the Dry Creek Historical Society. The farmstead is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as of 2006 as an outstanding example of 19th and 20th century agriculture.
