Location: Parma, Idaho 83660
Parma is 12 miles off I-84 west of Caldwell.

Parma is located in the northwestern part of Canyon County about three miles from the site of old Fort Boise. The Oregon Trail passes through Main Street. The Parma Review recorded the town’s history from 1903 through 1917 and the Parma Herald from 1909 through 1994. The weekly papers won many awards and provided an ongoing contemporary history of the community and surrounding area. The newsprint files were rapidly deteriorating. Trust funds allowed the local library to purchase microfilm records of the newspapers from the Idaho State Historical Society. The town now has a local source of information for research, legal records, and family and community history.
