Pocatello Greyhound Bus Depot

Pocatello Greyhound Bus Depot, City of Pocatello
Pocatello, Bannock County

  • Grant: 1996

Location: 215 West Bonneville, Pocatello, Idaho 83204

The neon Greyhound still runs around the corner of the bus Depot in Pocatello as it has since 1946. Few other Greyhound buildings of this genre are still in existence. The original sign with lighted running dog is one of the few believe to exist in the country. The building is an Art Deco style and was built sometime around 1946 by Union Pacific Stages, Inc. Recently found plans for the building are dated August 21, 1945 with James T. Allan of Omaha, Nebraska and Frank J. Paradice, Jr. of Pocatello as architects.
