Olsen Mammoth Bone Study
Kimberly, Twin Falls County
Location: Kimberly, ID
A study to assess the age of a newly discovered partial remains of a mammoth in Kimberly. The mammoth was exposed and excavated by the College of Southern Idaho and the Idaho Museum of Natural History. The tusk and partial skull were recovered at that time and are safely preserved in plaster jacketing.
