Location: East of the Northfork of the Payette and north of Gardena to Timber Butte and Dry Buck country; Dry Buck Rd., 0.1 NE of jct. of Timber Butte Rd. and Dry Buck Rd.

The Brownlee Comunity is an area of Boise County, east of the Northfork of the Payette and north of Gardena to Timber Butte and Dry Buck country. The area was an early homestead community tht was important to dryland farming during World War I and II. The school was built in 1911 with red fir timber produced at the local sawmill in Dry Buck. The floor is red fir and the outside is ponderosa pine. The building is in the National Register of Historic Places and is owned by the Brownlee Community Club.
