Early town maps show a log cabin at the corner of Leadville and River Streets; reputedly, one of the first wooden structures built by one of the original city founders, the Lewis Family. Around 1912, Russell and Gladys Obenchain Bonning moved into the cabin. They made two rooms out of one, and lived there until about 1925. Around 1940, the cabin was remodeled and rented to Sun Valley employees. After World War II, the cabin continued to be rented until it was moved. The City of Ketchum decided to preserve the cabin and moved it to its present location in 1999. Ketchum/Sun Valley Historical Society is restoring the cabin.
