Cambridge, Washington County

  • Grant: 2019 – Replaced awning and furling mechanism

Location: 15 Superior Street, Cambridge, ID

The rustic Jewell Building has been a fixture on Cambridge’s Superior Street for more than a century and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The former store was willed to the City for use as a museum, and it serves to preserve the history of upper Washington and lower Adams Counties. About ten local residents meet on a weekly basis to plan exhibits, respond to research requests, maintain the museum’s collection, and work on publishing books on the area’s people and history. The museum is open to the public during the summer months and available for research by appointment the rest of the year.
